Welcome to the Temple city of Tirupati. Tirupati is situated in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. At the valley of the foothills of the sacred Tirumala hills lies Tirupati, which was the sojourn place of Lord Venkateshwara. “Tirupati” means the “Lord of Lakshmi”. Lord Venkateshwara is one of the reincarnations of Lord Vishnu. Tirupati is Lord Venkateshwara meaning “Lord of Seven Hills” also called Sri Balaji is the Hindu deity of worldly wealth and prosperity. Tirumala temple is located atop the Seshachala hills which are also called “Yaedu Kundalo” meaning seven hills. The Tirumala Temple is one of the richest temples in Hindu religion and draws millions of pilgrims from all over the world.
