This is definitely not a shopper’s paradise. Only the local artifacts are available here. The local souvenirs are available at reasonable prices in the small shops and also by the road side. It also has a spillover from Erode and the neighboring cities of textiles and hosiery. This, however, is not a place on would recommend for shopping. It is basically a sleepy town with not much activity. The cities nearby are rich in exports, like Erode for Hosiery and Coimbatore for silks. Erode also has a number of textile mills.
