Panchappathi are the five sacred places devoted to Lord Shiva. They are all situated within a twenty-kilometer radius. Swamithope is another famour Tamil Temple. Unlike other Hindu temples, this temple follows the non-idolatory system of worship.

6 km from Kanyakumari is the Vattakottai fort, built in 18th century. It gives a breathtaking view of the sea. The Udaygiri Fort, built by King Marthanda Varma is another popular getaway from Kanyakumari.
