Ooty

Kotagiri is 31 kms from Udhagamandalam.It is known for its scenic beauty. Coonoor  is the second largest hill station in Nilgiris. It is  1858 meters high and  stands on a lower ridge. Mukurthi Peak is  40 km away  from Ooty. On the South eastern part is the The Mukurthi National Park.The silent valley  can be visited which lies on the  western side of these ranges.Avalanche is a beautiful lake about 28 kms from Ooty. It is a nature lover’s paradise. Masinagudi used to be an elephant corridor. So don't be too surprised if you do see some wild tuskers on the road.
