There is waterfall called Athirapilly Waterfalls in the city and it is the prime site for most tourists for excursion. The height of this waterfall is 80 feet high diving from the ranges of Sholayar. The one and only temple of India enshrined by Bharatha, the brother of Lord Rama, which is present in the city, is the temple of Koodalmanikyam. The festival of this temple is celebrated in the month of April or May. Some other major spots of excursion are the Guruvayoor Temple, Ariyannoor Temple and Cheruthuruthy.
