Tirupati owes its existence to the Tirumala Temple situated Seshachala hilltop. Ancient texts say that Moksha or salvation in Kalyuga is impossible without pleasing Lord Venkateshwara at the Tirumala Temple of Tirupati. Other places of importance in Tirupati are Varaswamy Temple, Shila Toranam Papavinasham and Akasganga Waterfalls. The steep hills of Tirumala are a visual delight for both devotees and trekkers or rock climbers alike. Other places which is a must see in Tirupati are Sri Kalahasti, Chandragiri fort, Horsley hills and Kailashnath Kona.
