In 1543, Vasco Da Gama came under the Portuguese rule and within a very short period of time transformed it into the busiest airport of western India. To have proper control on ships movement, the Portuguese built “Sada” Fort at the tip of the hill. However, the old Portuguese villages have something different which encourage tourists to come here. Besides, beaches are excellent place to have fun and joy. Ruinsof “Sada” Fort revives the memories of Portuguese grandeur and glory. Vasco da Gama is rapidly transforming itself into the commercial hub of Goa.
