Chettinad, as a region is famous for the Chettinad House and many fantastic specimens can be seen the town of Karaikudi. Just beside the Raja’s palace is the “house converted to a museum”, the Chettinad Museum. An interested tourist may also visit the factories of the famous Athangudi tiles.
