According to fable, this is the sequence of stepping stones used by Hanuman to follow Ravana, in his bid to rescue Sita. Dhanushkodi Beach in Rameshwaram is worth a visit. It offers you a peaceful scenic environment.

Gandhamadana Parvatam, the stepped mandapam or hall, about a mile and a half west of the Ramanathaswamy Temple commands an exceptional view of the countryside.

This place boasts a footprint which is believed to be of Lord Rama.The nearest airport is at Madurai, at a distance of 154-km from Rameshwaram. The place is well linked by trains from all the main cities of India.
